Project Hope is a transformative initiative dedicated to empowering Autistic individuals aged 18 and above by offering them the opportunity to achieve independent living through the Supportive Landlord Program. Our mission is to break down barriers and create a nurturing environment where individuals on the Autism spectrum can thrive on their own terms. Through this initiative, we provide safe and accommodating housing solutions, ensuring a supportive and inclusive atmosphere. At Project Hope, we believe in the potential of every individual and work tirelessly to help them build a brighter future filled with autonomy, self-reliance, and a sense of belonging.

With solid construction, minimal noise disruption, and dedicated wellness areas including a fitness room, indoor and outdoor social spaces and game room, we believe this property aligns well with your preferences and requirements.

LIGHT SUPPORTS PROGRAM

  • What is Light Supports?

    The Light Supports Program is a crucial component of our service offering at Project H.O.P.E. This program is designed to provide a moderate level of assistance, support, and engagement for our tenants with developmental disabilities. Our aim is to empower these individuals to live as independently as possible while ensuring they have access to the support and resources they need.

  • Tailored For You

    This program is tailored to meet the unique needs of each tenant, fostering their independence, personal growth, and community integration.

    We recognize the importance of providing a supportive environment that encourages self-determination and skill development.

    This program is designed to offer regular check-ins and assistance, without being intrusive, ensuring tenants feel secure and supported in their journey towards independence.

  • How it Works

    We offer a structured weekly schedule where each tenant engages in regular meeting facilitated by a dedicated support staff member. These sessions are designed to encompass a wide range of topics including personal well-being, safety assessments, goal setting, and community involvement. The program kicks off with an initial Welcome Session, focusing on building rapport and gaining a thorough understanding of the tenant's needs and preferences.

  • Dedicated Support Staff

    Support staff play a pivotal role in the success of the Light Supports program. They are responsible for:

    • Establishing a trusting and respectful relationship with each tenant

    • Conducting weekly check-in meetings, following the designated scripts and guidelines

    • Providing encouragement and support for personal growth and goal achievement

    • Identifying and addressing any potential issues or areas of concern

    • Documenting meetings and progress, ensuring transparency and continuity of support

  • Social Engagement

    We are dedicated to fostering a vibrant sense of community among its tenants through a variety of social activities designed to encourage creativity, showcase individual skills, and facilitate the building of meaningful friendships. By organizing events that cater to a wide range of interests and talents, we create opportunities for tenants to connect with like-minded individuals, share their passions, and engage in collaborative projects. These activities not only enrich our community life but also empower tenants to contribute uniquely, reinforcing a supportive and inclusive environment for everyone.

    The Pathway to Independence program equips young individuals with developmental disabilities with essential life skills through workshops on hygiene, cooking, budgeting, and scheduling; paving their way to self-reliance. Our approach includes community outings and social activities that encourage positive relationships and communication, utilizing group discussions, and team-building exercises. Creative outlets like arts, music, and games promote teamwork and creativity. Tailored support in a safe and comforting environment, alongside active family involvement, ensures progress towards increased independence, improved social skills, and self-confidence.

The wait time for Project HOPE varies and is tracked internally by Lang Property Management to prioritize applicants based on their specific needs. Prospective tenants can inquire about their waitlist status directly from Lang, which is a separate process from checking the status of their application with Lang.
